Retinal Services

The retina is the posterior or rear portion of the eye where light rays fall in order to enable the eye to see clearly.

Retinal disorders include:
  • Retinal detachment
  • Tearing of the retina
  • Micro-vascular abnormalities that lead to bleeding
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Macular degeneration (age-related loss of central vision)
  • Uveitis (inflammation)
  • Retinitis pigmentosa (poor night vision and narrowing of blood vessels)

Dr. Ceasar Pitta is the retinal specialist at Giliberti Eye & Laser Center.

He has over 25 years of experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of retinal disorders and ocular care including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, macular pucker as well as retinal detachment surgery.

Using state-of-the-art digital fluorescein angiography, Dr. Pitta is able to image diabetic patients and treat them using advanced laser technology.
