Lens Implants

Lens Implants - Dr. Giliberti
During the laser cataract procedure, Dr. Orazio L. Giliberti, FACS will remove the clouded lens, and in most cases replace it with a clear, artificial intraocular lens (IOL). There are now several FDA-approved IOLs that offer clear vision at all distances, including near vision. They provide this functionality using two types of technologies: Multi-focal and Accommodating. At Giliberti Eye and Laser Center, we are proud to offer our patients a selection of both premium and traditional lens implants for cataract surgery!

Premium Lenses

Premium lenses are developed to make the procedure less complicated for the physician and more beneficial for the patient.

AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL

Lens Implants - PanOptix Trifocal IOL

Trifocal Premium Implants are technologically advanced lenses that are designed to aid in the correction of visions for distance, intermediate, and near. The AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL is a trifocal premium lens implant that can greatly reduce or eliminate the need for eyeglasses after laser cataract surgery.

AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL

Lens Implants - Toric IOL

Toric Premium Implants are specifically designed to aid in the correction of astigmatism. The AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL is a toric lens used for advanced correction of astigmatism that can greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for distance vision eyeglasses after laser cataract surgery. With a Toric Premium Implant, eyeglasses for near vision are usually necessary after cataract surgery.

Traditional Lenses

AcrySof® IQ Monofocal IOL

Lens Implants - IOL

Monofocal Implants replace your cataract lens and are typically designed to aid in the correction of distance vision only. With traditional implants, near vision eyeglasses are usually necessary after cataract surgery, and possibly for distance vision, particularly for eyes with astigmatism.
