Lens Implants

Lens Implants - Dr. Giliberti

During the laser cataract procedure, Dr. Orazio L. Giliberti, FACS will remove the clouded lens, and in most cases replace it with a clear, artificial intraocular lens (IOL). There are now several FDA-approved IOLs that offer clear vision at all distances, including near vision. They provide this functionality using two types of technologies: Multi-focal and Accommodating. At Giliberti Eye and Laser Center, we are proud to offer our patients a selection of both premium and traditional lens implants for cataract surgery!

Premium Lenses

Premium lenses are developed to make the procedure less complicated for the physician and more beneficial for the patient.

AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® Multifocal IOL

Lens Implants - ReSTOR Multifocal IOL
The AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® Multifocal IOL improves vision in a range of distances for renewed sight. Using advanced technology, the AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® Multifocal IOL corrects vision near, far, and in-between! FDA trials showed that about 80% of people who were implanted with the multi-focal ReSTOR® lens did not need eye glasses following laser cataract surgery.

AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® Multifocal Toric IOL

Lens Implants - ReSTOR Multifocal Toric IOL
This new and innovative option combines the benefits of a full range of vision provided by the AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® IOL with the astigmatic correction of the AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL. The result is a true performance at all distances for patients with astigmatism. The AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® Multifocal Toric IOL treats both presbyopia and astigmatism in one surgery.

AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL

Lens Implants - Toric IOL
These advanced technology lenses are designed to correct astigmatism, at the time of surgery, for clear distance vision usually without the need for glasses. However, you will still need glasses for reading. Apart from cataract patients, other patients who wear glasses or contact lenses can also selectively benefit from such IOLs, particularly those with high prescriptions who are non-candidates for laser vision correction and others with ocular injuries.

Traditional Lenses

AcrySof® IQ Monofocal IOL

Lens Implants - IOL
These trusted lenses provide clear distance vision. However, you will likely still need glasses for reading and possibly for distance vision, particularly eyes with astigmatism.
