Restore Your World to Sharp, Vibrant Color
Expert surgical removal with premium lens implants to restore clear, crisp vision.
Modern cataract surgery is not just about removing a cloudy lens — it's an opportunity to dramatically improve your vision and potentially reduce your dependence on glasses. With premium lens implant options, many patients achieve better vision than they've had in decades.
Cataracts develop when the natural lens inside the eye becomes cloudy, causing blurred vision, glare, and color fading. Cataract surgery is one of the safest, most common procedures in medicine — and at Giliberti Eye & Laser Center, we perform it with the most advanced technology available: the OptiMedica Catalys® Precision Laser System and the LenSx® femtosecond laser for laser-assisted cataract surgery (LACS). We were among the first practices in New Jersey to offer laser cataract surgery with integrated astigmatism correction.

Precise measurements of your eye are taken to select the ideal intraocular lens (IOL). We discuss premium lens options including monofocal, toric (astigmatism-correcting), and extended depth of focus lenses.
The Catalys® or LenSx® laser creates precise incisions and softens the cataract for easier removal. Ultrasound (phacoemulsification) breaks the lens into tiny fragments that are gently suctioned away.
A foldable intraocular lens is inserted through a tiny incision and unfolds inside the eye. The incision is often self-sealing and requires no stitches.
The procedure takes about 15–20 minutes. You rest briefly in recovery, then go home with a protective shield over the eye and detailed aftercare instructions.
